Pork with Mustard and Onions

Ingredients

  • 2 thick pork chops
  • 1/8 t salt
  • 1/8 t  pepper
  • 1/8 t dill
  • 1/8 t mustard powder
  • 1/2 T oil
  • 1/2 onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 T prepared mustard
  • 1/2 c beef stock (beer)
  • 1/2 T wine vinegar
  • 1/6 c sour cream

Directions

  1. Season chops with salt, pepper, dill and mustard powder.
  2. Brown in oil 2 - 3 mins on each side. Remove.
  3. Fry onions on med-low for 10 mins.
  4. Arrange chops on top of onions, add beer and vinegar and cover. Simmer 30 mins. Remove to plate.
  5. Add mustard to pan and reduce sauce until syrupy. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Pour over chops.
