Welsh Rarebit

Ingredients

  • 1 T butter
  • 1 lb grated cheese
  • 2/3 c beer at room temp - opened
  • 1 t mustard powder
  • 1 t Worcestershire
  • dash cayenne
  • 1/4 t paprika
  • 1 egg beaten

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a double boiler.
  2. Add cheese and stir until melted.
  3. Add beer - stirring.
  4. Add all except egg.
  5. Add egg and combine with the rest.
  6. Serve over toast.
