Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • Beef for 2 meals cut in bite size pieces - London Broil okay
  • Potatoes for 2 meals in chunks
  • Carrots for 2 meals in chunks
  • 1 pack onion soup mix
  • 1 onion chopped

Directions

  1. Saute onions until soft. Remove.
  2. Sear meat over high heat a few chunks at a time.
  3. Return onions and meat to pan, add soup mix and 2 c water. Bring to boil then turn to low and cover. Simmer 1 hour.
  4. Add potatoes and carrots, return to boil, cook 30 mins.
  5. Can thicken stock if necessary with flour and water paste.
