Mushroom Puffs

Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 4 oz mushrooms canned, chopped
  • 1/8 c finely chopped onion
  • 1/8 c parmesan
  • 1.5 t finely chopped green onion
  • 1/8 t hot sauce
  • 1/2 large egg
  • 1/2 package frozen puff pastry thawed
  • parchment paper
  • 1 t pepper

Directions

  1. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Stir in mushrooms, onions, parmesan and hot sauce. Cover and chill.
  2. Preheat oven to 400F.
  3. Whisk egg with 1/2 T water.
  4. Roll pastry into 16 x 10" rectangle. Cut in half lengthwise. Spread each piece with cream cheese down center only.
  5. Brush edges with egg mixture.
  6. Fold over and pinch edges to seal. Cut into 10 pieces each half.
  7. Brush tops with remaining egg mixture and sprinkle with pepper.
  8. Bake at 400 for 20 to 25 mins until browned.
