Poached Pears


  • 1 cup Muscat Beaumes de Venise
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 2 pears, peeled, cored and halved


  1. In a heavy pan boil wine and sugar. Lower heat and simmer 5 mins.
  2. Add lemon juice and pears. Cook for 10 mins over medium to low.
  3. Cool and refrigerate.
  4. Bring to room temperature before serving. Add a scoop of ice cream.
