Steak Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Steak for sandwiches - NY strip
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • 1/2 onion sliced in rings
  • 1/2 t thyme
  • Bread
  • 1/4 c mayo
  • 1 t dijon mustard
  • 1 t mustard
  • 2 t sour cream
  • pinch salt

Directions

  1. Season steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil and seer steak on each side 1 min.
  3. Reduce heat to low and cook for 12 mins, turning once. Remove to plate, cover with foil tightly and let sit for 10 mins. Slice into strips.
  4. Heat oil and saute onions with thyme.
  5. Mix mayo, mustards, sour cream and salt and use to coat bread. Add steak and onions.
