Chinese Barbecued Pork

Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops boneless
  • 2 t Splenda (1)
  • 2 t soy sauce (0.67) (assumes 1g per T)
  • 1 t hoisin sauce (4)
  • 1 t rice vinegar or rice cooking wine
  • 1 t ground bean sauce
  • 1 t sesame oil
  • 1 pinch ground pepper

Directions

  1. Combine soy, sugar, hoisin, vinegar, bean sauce, sesame oil and pepper. Pour over pork and put in refrigerator overnight.
  2. Let pork come to room temperature for at least 30 mins.
  3. Preheat broiler. Place rack in roasting pan filled with at least 1/4 inch water.
  4. Broil 4 inches from element for 10 minutes each side. Baste with marinade when turning over.
  5. Chop into small pieces.
