Ingredients
- pastry for double pie
- 1.5 lb beef (steak or chuck)
- 3 med. potatoes
- 2 med. onions
- 1/2 med. rutabaga
Directions
- Cut shortening into flour and salt and add water. Refrigerate.
- Cut meat in small pieces. Peel and dice vegetables.
- Roll a piece of dough to size of a medium pie plate.
- Put filling in centre and season. Pull pastry over top and seal at edges.
- Prick at 2 or 3 places with a fork.
- Bake at 325 F for 1 hour.
